Cyber-physical systems withdraw huge attention since they can address more complex problems in industry and everyday life. The massive utilization of sensors is inevitable in the era of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT). Thanks to the rapid development of sensor technology, many industrial problems can be overcome and industrial activities become more productive and efficient. Sensors are composed of various active materials and the development of nanotechnology has contributed to the development of functional materials as active sensing materials. In this virtual course, participants will learn the basic principles of sensor technology, including mechanical, chemical, biosensor, and thermal sensors. In addition, this course will also cover the sensor systems and instrumentation, application of sensors, and the sensor industry.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
