Bandung, 5 Maret 2018, Rektor ITB Prof. Dr. Ir. Kadarsah Suryadi, DEA, secara resmi membuka Seminar Industrial Development Strategy for West Java.

Kegiatan ini dilasanakan di Ruang Seminar A dan B Program Studi Teknik Industri FTI – ITB, Gedung Matthias Aroef (Gedung Labtek III), Lantai 1.

Hadir dalam seminar tersebut antara lain Gubernur Jawa Barat, Dr.(H.C.) Ahmad Heryawan, Lc. didampingi Asisten II Setda Prov. Jabar Bidang Perekonomian dan Pembangunan, Prof.Dr.Ir. Deny Juanda Puradimaja, DEA., Dekan Fakultas Teknologi Industri, Prof. Deddy Kurniadi, Dr.Eng., Dekan Fakultas Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan, Prof.Ir. Ade Sjafruddin M.Sc.,Ph.D., Wakil Dekan Bidang Sumberdaya Fakultas Teknologi Industri, Suprayogi, Ph.D., para dosen dilingkungan Teknik Industri, mahasiswa serta tamu undangan lainnya.

Seminar ini diselenggarakan atas kerja sama Fakultas Teknologi Industri, Fakultas Teknik Sipil dan Lingkungan dengan Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology – Jepang.

Sementar pembicara dari Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology – Jepang antara lain : Prof. Dr. Seiichi Kawata, President AIIT; Prof. Yoshie Kunisawa, Dean of AIIT; Prof. Innella Giovanni, AIIT; Prof. Mitsuhiro Maeda, AIIT; Prof. Hisashi Hayashi, AIIT.

Acara Seminar Industrial Development Strategy for West Java dimulai sekitar pukul 09:00 WIB, secara resmi dubuka oleh Rektor ITB.

Dalam sambutannya Rektor ITB mengatakan : This Seminar on Industrial Development Strategy for West Java and Indonesia as a whole shall very interesting for us. Many related issues on Industrial Development Strategy represent very much the curent challenges in Indonesia in order to achieve sustainable development goals. I bilieve Japan experiences in this regards can show best practice to deal with the callenges and the lessons learnt will be very useful in formulating the stategies and the implementation on the future.

For example, the main of challenges for Industrial Development in Indonesia are:

For development of SMEs (Small and medium enterprises): to increase the capability of marketing, financial, and to improve product quality.

For Industrial Development in general: to improve the quality and productivity of industrial products in order to be more competitive in global market, and to achieve more efficient supply chain;

For Advanced Industries: to prepare in all aspects to face the area of industry 4.0.

Issues of Industrial Development have been emphasized in the startegic development plans of indonesia. one very important issue is human resources developmnet to support the industrial development in the future.

National social-economic welfare is highly affected by the quality of human resources. This conference shall then play significant role for all stakeholders to gain the better understanding of the condition in the fast growing industrial network, to share the knowledge and experiences among the participants and to induce innovative ideas tu support sustainable development effort in the future. We surely hope that this seminar will provide great opportunity for us to foster collaboration among government, industries, universities and research institutions in the future.

Sementara itu Gubernur Jawa Barat menyampaikan bahwa, untuk menjadi sebuah negara yang maju tentunya kita harus memiliki berbagai syarat yang harus dipenuhi, salah satunya menyiapkan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), penguasaan teknologi, dan pengelolaan Sumber Daya Alam (SDA) dengan baik.

SDM yang baik harus mampu mengelola SDA mulai dari hulu hingga hilir yang tentu tanpa harus merusak lingkungannya.

Dengan SDM yang baik dan dukungan SDA yang melimpah dengan dikelola secara baik dipastikan akan menghadirkan nilai tambah bagi perekonomian suatu negara yang pada akhirnya akan menghasilkan kemakmuran bagi masyarakatnya. Rumusan ini perlu rumusan besar dr para regulator secara utuh dan regulator harus memahaminya bagaimana arah pembangunan sebuah bangsa.

Setelah menyampaikan presentasinya, Gubernur Jawa Barat meninggalkan acara seminar tersebut. Namun meninggalkan acara seminar, sebelumnya diadakan sesi foto-foto bersama.

Acara selanjutnya adalah penyampaian materi yang disampaikan oleh para pembicara dari Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology – Jepang.
